I've purchased the gear for the right side. Before crawling under it since I am disabled can you give me the tools needed to install the gear. Or instructions for pulling off the old gear not wanting to mess it up. Thanks?
For model number LFX25960ST
Hi Dave, thank you for your question! To replace a drawer gear in your freezer, pull out both freezer drawers and lift out the ice bucket. Now depress the tabs on the drawer supports, lift the upper drawer off and set it on a sturdy surface. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the gear retainer and pull off the old gear. Install the new upper drawer gear by sliding it onto the shaft. Snap the retainer on to secure. Align the upper drawer on the supports and snap it into position. Replace the ice bucket and confirm that the drawer moves freely. We hope this is helpful!
