How do I replace thermistor on LG WM0642HW washer?
For model number WM0642HW
Hello Tim, Thank you for contacting us. First, unplug the power cord and shut off the water supply next remove the hot and cold water supply lines from the inlet valve be prepared for some water to spill out. Carefully tip the washer back so it rests on the rear panel. Then disconnect the thermistor wire connector remove the screws securing the thermistor to the outer tub untwist the retaining wire and remove the old part install the new thermistor by aligning it on the outer tub. Replace the screws to secure connect the wire connector to the new thermistor and secure it with the retaining wire return the washer to its upright position reattach the hot and cold water supply lines to the inlet valve with the repair completed turn the water supply back on plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
