Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This door boot seal is for front loading washing machines. This part forms a seal between the wash tub and the door, preventing leaks. We recommend unplugging the washer before installing this part and wearing work gloves to protect your hands.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Perfect fit
Replacing the boot seal fixed our odor issues, as the old seal was permanently moldy, and the seal drain was clogged. Reattaching the thin metal rings was the most challenging step in the process. Not a 30-minute repair job for a newbie, but totally doable!

Moldy smell inside, door boot seal showed signs of mold
Watched several YouTube DIY videos and followed the step by step directions. I also disconnected several other hoses and cleaned them out. Since I live in an hard-water area, deep cleaning may become a 6- month preventative maintenance routine.
Followed the videos on line. However instead of buying the $75 spring expansion tool I used two zip ties. One at each end of the spring to create loops for my index fingers to pull the spring apart. Needed a second person to help hold the ring in place at 3&9 position.

Washer leaking out front door. I purchased the door seal 2 days ago. Anything else cause the door to leak? Thank you
For model number WM3760HVA
Hi David, thank you for contacting us. Make sure your door boot seal is clean. Wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris. If the problem persists, you may need door boot spring, part number PS3524029, along with it. It is used to secure the door boot seal. If the door boot spring is broken or missing, the door boot seal can become dislodged and allow water to leak out through the closed door during operation. We hope this helps!

What do you suggest if my washer is currently stacked with the dryer? I'm assuming in order to replace this part, I will have to unstack the units... is that true? Thank you for the help.
For model number WM3050CW
Hello Kelli, Thank you for writing. You should be able to remove the Front Panel to access the Boot Seal to replace it. You shouldn't need to unstack the dryer to do so. We hope this helps!
