Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is a temperature sensor designed for use within Samsung refrigerators. Temperature sensors are used to accurately detect the internal temperature of your fridge and communicate with the control board to adjust the cooling level depending on your settings. If your refrigerator is not cooling properly, whether too much or too little, this sensor may be bad or defective, causing your control board to incorrectly cool your fridge. This temperature sensor is an OEM part that simply attaches with its wire harness to the control board and has a single temperature probe at the opposite end. Replacing this sensor will require a screwdriver to access it. This sensor is sold individually and does not come with any other parts.

Fridge section works well however freezer is warm and sometimes achieves 2 degrees Celsius
Pls advise whether it’s a sensor or board issue. Thank you
For model number RF263BEAESG/AA
Hi Gerard, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the freezer temperature sensor, part number PS4138649, to fix the issue. It senses the temperature inside the freezer and sends information to the electronic control board. Glad to be of help!
Hi, my fridge section is cooling to much to the point of freezing up liquids. I already confirmed the defrost heater is working so I'm inclined to think is the temperature sensor. I noticed there is 2 temperature sensors behind the rear cover panel (DA32-00011C and DA32-10104N
). Which one is the one that monitors the temp in the fridge section? Pantry and freezer sections seem to be working fine. Thank you

Hi Leo, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest replacing the temperature sensor, part number PS4138596, to solve the problem. It senses the temperature inside the refrigerator and sends information to the electronic control. We hope that helps!

Where is the temp sensor located in my Samsung fridge it's not staying cool the compressor is running though
For model number RT18m6215SR
Hello Rick, thank you for getting in touch. For both the freezer and the fresh food section of your model, the temperature sensors are located behind their respective evaporator covers. Both of the temperature sensors have the same part number PS12082376. We would recommend checking them to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!
My fridge is running too cold. Had same issue a year ago and replaced part #DA32-00011C. I tested this sensor now by putting sensor in ice water and watched ohms increase so I assume it's still good. What other things could cause it to run so cold? Thanks
For model number RF28HDEDTSR
Hi Rick,
Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator section is running too cold, we recommend checking the damper control assembly, part number PS4138340. This part regulates the air flow from the freezer to the fresh food section of the refrigerator. We hope this helps!
Thank you for your response to my previous question about my frig running too cold. You mentioned I need to replace the damper control assembly, part number PS4138340. That is an expensive part, is there a way I can check and verify that is not working before I replace it? Also, I further tested to he temp sensor with a multi meter and it showed 6.2 ohms at 70 degrees and 9.85 at 32 degrees. Based on that do you think the temp sensor is defective? Appreciate your help very much.
For model number RF28HDEDTSR
Hi Rick,
Thank you for getting back to us. When testing the temperature sensor at 32 degrees F, you should receive a reading of 16600 ohms +/- 5 percent. If you did not get this reading, then the sensor will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

The freezer section is room temperature. Would sensor affect the ice maker which is located in the Fridge section? It’s currently not producing ice.
For model number For model number RF263BEAESG/AA
Hi Gerard, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched and found that if the temperature in the freezer is too warm, ice cubes will take longer to form or may not form at all. The temperature sensor may cause the freezer to be warm. We would recommend checking the freezer temperature sensor, part number PS4138649, to fix the issue. Good luck with your repair!
