It monitors the temperature of the evaporator coil and sends the temperature reading to the electronic control board. The issue can also be related to the pan and heater assembly, part number PS4169414. It collects condensation from the evaporator and prevents the drain water from freezing. It senses the temperature inside the refrigerator and sends information to the electronic control. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
