Didn't fix the problem
Part arrived in great condition but it did not fix the problem. The compressor must have given out before the part arrived.

Part was an exact match and installation wasn't bad at all.
The parts were in great condition and came fast. Although we ended up replacing the refrigerator after installing the part. You can't win them all :).

RS265TDRS/XAA fridge temp sensor
When looking for non cooling conditions in this fridge side by side only, stored errors in panel, frozen condensation on evaporator and a faulty temp sensor Input back to the board where all present. The fan had stopped with a 22E error code. After removing the back panels 6 screws the evaporator was frozen solid. Placed frig into a forced free state cleared fan. Tested fridge again but didn’t cool well even though freezer side freezer was great. That told me the compressor and cooling system was not at fault. Since this part was only 10 or so dollars the risk of replacing it without determining the electrical resistance Of the sensor was minor. Normally I would do this but was unable to find a sensor spec sheet on this model. Received sensor replaced old one unplugged fridge to clear all memory error codes and placed a mechanical thermometer on shelf in fridge to verify frige side temp so I didn’t have to rely on front Samsung panel. Waited 24 hours for fridge to stabilize temps. Cools to correct levels goes into auto defrost like it’s suppose to and cycles on and off etc. Additionally the one problem I did think that caused part of the problem is setting the fridge side below 46 degrees in the south where humidity is above 70 percent. The auto defrost is a timed event every 12 hours or so and and is short so I believe because of this over time the ice will slowly collect in the fan housing resulting in a 22E error code eventually. If the fridge door is opened a lot this moisture rushes in and the defrost cycle is too short to eliminate it’s long term build up. From date of ouchase to this event was just over 5 years. Not to bad for its operating conditions.

My fridge is freezing everything do this part has to do with it?
For model number Samsung rs263bbsh
Hello Norman, thank you for asking. According to our research, a common cause of this issue is indeed the temperature sensor, part number PS4138701. If that does not help, we would recommend replacing the gasket, part number PS4172458. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
Actually there are two questions, one is that of the temperature sensor, what is its function and the second is who sends the signal to the ice defroster in the refrigerator coil. When it needs to defrost the ice???
For model number RS25H5111SRIAA Samsung refrigerador
Hello Rafael, Thank you for your inquiry. The temperature sensor senses the temperature inside the refrigerator and sends information to the electronic control PS9494290, which in turn tells the defrost heater when it's time to defrost the refrigerator. There is also a power control board as well, PS4168016. We hope this helps you.
freezer is working. refrig was cooler at bottom. Located the fan and it was frozen. I thawed everything out. dried it. bench tested the fan. it is working. Plugged it back in and no fan function. Not sure what part controls that unit and if its even avail. any help.
For model number rs265tdbp/xaa
Hi John, thank you for reaching out. If the fan does not work, you may need to make sure you have not disconnected any wiring during the thawing and drying process. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to check the temperature sensor, part number PS4138647, as it is most likely faulty. The temperature sensor monitors the refrigerator temperature and signals the control board to direct voltage to the compressor, evaporator fan motor, and condenser fan motor (if applicable) to restart the cooling system when necessary. Glad to be of help!
Hello,
My freezer works ok, but the refrigerator is freezing food. I set the freezer and refrigerator temp to their lowest setting, and the refrigerator continues to freeze food. Would a faulty temperature sensor cause this problem?
For model number samsung rs261mdpn
Hi Jorge,
Thank you for your question. If the temperature sensor is malfunctioning, it may cause the fresh food section of your refrigerator to freeze the food. We hope this helps!

My fridge seems to be cooling fine. I haven’t noticed anything not cold in the fridge. The condenser fan started getting ice buildup around it. When i got to the fan the coils were frozen over and i first thought the heater element was bad but checked out good along with the fan motor. I can’t get any olms on the water tank heater so i’m thinking it may be bad but i don’t understand what the purpose of this heater is and if it would cause the coils to freeze over. I’m leaning towards a sensor because the heating element under the coils doesn’t appear to be working but checks out as good. Thanks

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your question. If the water heater tank is not reading correctly, you will need to replace it. Also, I believe you are referring to the evaporator fan motor. If there is ice buildup around the motor, the drain my be clogged with debris preventing water from draining completely draining. You will need to check this to verify if this is the problem. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Cannot get the unit to come back on when the power goes out. Some times it will when i shake it. That does work all the time.
For model number RS2578WW
Hello Minnie, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to consider either the Relay Protector part PS4138798 or the Temperature Sensor part PS4138681. We hope this helps.
