Harness the power of the Samsung Dryer Drive Motor for your appliance repair needs. This robust and durable motor, crafted from superior quality materials, is designed to fit most Samsung dryer models. Renowned for its long-lasting performance, this genuine Samsung part ensures your dryer operates at peak efficiency. Should your dryer fail to start, consider inspecting the door switch or thermal fuse, as a faulty motor may not be the cause. In the event that the motor is unable to turn by hand, a replacement may be necessary. Remember to check for a failed blower thermostat before considering a motor replacement.

When starting a load the drum will not rotate on its own. It has to be manually pushed in order to begin rotating. I've replaced the drive belt and the idler pulley and neither fixed the issue.
For model number DV45H6300EG
Hi Bethany, thank you for your question. It looks like you might want to take a look at your motor being the issue if your motor will not run. However you may also want to check your door lock as well. As that part will not allow the motor to run if it believes that the door is open. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

When I start the dryer I hear a grinding noise then it shuts off and won’t start again for a while
For model number DV40J3000EW/A2
Hello Joshua, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Drum Support Roller & Axle, PartSelect Number PS4221885, The Belt, PartSelect Number PS4133825 and the Idler Pulley Assembly, PartSelect Number PS11771601 for wear or damage. If they are good, the motor might be defective. Hope this helps!
My dryer start up a little bit louder than average and I can smell heat. Then after 20 second the dryer cut off and cut back on a 1min later then shut off completely.
For model number dv745h7000ew/a2p

Does this contain the motor bearings? The dryer heats well and the belt is good and on track. Lint is cleaned out. The dryer will at times not start but you can hear it click on. Believe it’s the motor and/or motor bearings.
For model number DV363EWBEUF
Hello Robert, Thank you for your question. Upon reviewing the model number provided I show that the bearings are included with this part. Have a great day!

My dryer starts for about 1 minute and than stops. What could it be?
For model number DV48H7400GW
Hi Bertha, thank you for your question. When you are experiencing an issue like this there are a few parts that you will have to test to determine what is causing your issue. For all of these parts you can test them with a multi meter. First you will have to test your thermostats and thermal fuses to make sure they are all functioning correctly. After that you will want to test parts in this order, your m series coils, igniter itself, or your radiant flame sensor. You may also want to check your regulator just to make sure that part is functioning properly as well. Something else you should also check would be your filter and ducts. Make sure there is absolutely no blockage that would restrict air flow in your appliance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Dryer runs for 5 seconds and shuts off. After a minute or two I can restart it, but again it runs for 5 seconds and shuts off. Repeat senerrio.
For model number DV400AWHDWR/AA
Hello Tim, thank you for reaching out. If your dryer keeps shutting off, we suggest that you check the thermistor, thermal fuses, drive belt, drive motor, and idler pulley as these could be the culprits of this issue. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order, anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope that helps.
The dryer won't start at all but I heard a click noise when I try to start or off too
For model number DV42H5000GW/A3
Hello William, thank you for contacting us. A faulty door switch, part number PS4210965, is a probable cause of the issue. If the dryer door is open, the switch will not allow the dryer to start. Make sure the door is closed properly and the switch is working. A blown thermal fuse, part number PS4205213, can also cause this issue. If the thermal fuse is blown, the dryer will not start. The thermal fuse is designed to protect the dryer from overheating and can blow if the dryer's vent is clogged or the dryer is overloading. We would also recommend checking the belt switch, part number PS4131202. It shuts the dryer off if the belt breaks. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
I start my dryer and run for 5 second and stop. I change PCB and it’s not the troble.
For model number DV220AEW Samsung
Hello Jaime, thank you for contacting us. Please check the thermistor, part number PS4204984, and ensure that it is not bad. It attaches to the blower housing, and monitors and helps regulate the temperature inside the dryer. When faulty, it can stop the dryer from working. Customer service is available seven days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Hello Joshua, thank you for contacting us. The process of separating the motor from the fan blade is very easy. First, take a Phillips screwdriver and remove the two screws that hold the fitting on. Once you have the screws out, you can just pull the fitting off and set it aside to take the blower wheel off. Take a big 22-millimeter wrench and hold the motor pulley on the back side. Once you have that in place, use a 14-millimeter socket and rotate clockwise to remove the nut. Now, you can lift the wrench off the back side of the motor and pull the blower wheel out. We hope this solves your problem!
