How do you know the reason for not draining is the drain pump, something else.
For model number DW80F600UTS
Hi Dan,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is not draining correctly, the the pump fixes the issue the majority of the time. If the pump is not the issue, then you should also check the drain hose, the timer and the check flapper valve. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Drain
January 25, 2018
The drain pump was replaced but now there is a leak. All of the hoses appear okay. Could it be the o-ring on the pump assembly? Can I get a new one?
Hello Drain,
Thanks for your question. We are showing the o-rings and seals are only included with the pump assembly, but there could be separate o-rings and seals from model to model.
I hope this helps.

MY DRAIN PUMP DOES NOT SHUT OFF.
I UN PLUGGED AND REPLUGGED BUT STILL REMAINS ON.
For model number DW80J3020US/AA
Hello Mark, thank you for your question. This is usually caused by a blockage in the drain pump, such as a piece of broken glass or some other foreign object. Or, there is a sensor PS8753316 that can tell if the water level gets too high and activates the draining function to keep the dishwasher from overflowing. We hope this helps.
I've got an LC error, but it seems to be draining just fine. Do I need to replace the sensor? Where is it?
For model number DW80K5050US
Hi Mike, thank you for your inquiry. The LC error means that the unit’s leak sensor is detecting moisture or a water leak. First, make sure there is no leak inside the dishwasher. If the issue persists, then the leak sensor, part number PS4222735, is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. The leak sensor is located at the base of the dishwasher near the main control board. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Hi Pavel,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is not draining, inspect the check valve. The check valve is used to allow water to flow in one direction but will prevent the dirty water from re-entering the dishwasher. If you suspect that the drain hose has a restriction or if you find that wastewater is getting back into the dishwasher tub, then the check valve is most likely the problem. Before inspecting the check valve, unplug the dishwasher from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. The check valve will be found on the outlet port of the drain pump or housing. You will need to remove the lower access panel in order to inspect it. Visually inspect the flapper for any signs of wear or damage. You should also check to see if there is any dirt or debris preventing the flapper from moving freely, remove anything you may find. If your valve is damaged, or if you find no objects preventing it from opening properly, you will need a replacement check valve. If the check valve is fine, inspect the drain pump for continuity with a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the Rx1 setting and touch the pump’s terminals with the probes. You should receive a reading of zero or nearly zero. Next, you should test the ground connection by touching one of the probes to the bare metal housing while leaving one on a terminal. This test should not produce any reading. If the results of your tests are different from the above, you will need a replacement pump. We hope this helps!
Hi Mary, Thank you for connecting with us. The 3C error code indicates a pump operation error, so the water pump is not working properly and may need to be replaced. We suggest also checking for a blockage int he pump and drain lines as well. We hope this solves your problem!
