Hi Natalie, Thank you for your question. If only part of the burner is lighting, check and make sure that the burner cap is seated correctly. If it is not, this can cause an uneven flame. Also check and make sure that the burner head is seated correctly as well. If the burner head is only partially lighting, the burner may be dirty. If it is dirty, soak the burner head in a solution of hot water and dish soap. After cleaning the burner head, allow it to air dry. If the igniter is dirty, you will need to clean it with either a soft bristled brush or a soft cloth. Also check and make sure that the orifice does not have any dirt on it.
