Replacement of bake element
Had no trouble replacing defective element with a new one. New element heated the oven to the temperature we set to check it.

When the oven is on bake, is the upper boiler heating element supposed to heat up also?
For model number 79095912201
Hello Charles, thank you for the question. The broil element will turn on during the preheat and may come on and off during baking to help hold the set temperature but it will not stay on the full time while the oven is on bake setting. Hope this helps!

Hello Joseph, Thank you for the question. that pop was the control board shorting out. PartSelect Number PS977493. I looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued sorry. There are no part substitutions listed. My suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers. Hope this helps!
We’ve had to unplug our oven because the bake element comes on full throttle as soon as the oven is plugged in. Temperature sensor has been unplugged but that did not change the issue.
