If the fan motor rotates freely, is there another component that may cause this motor not to run? Is there a way to check the motor to see if this is really the part that needs replacing?

Hi Richard, you are able to test it with a mutlimeter if you have one. It could be caused by broken wires between the fan motor and thermostatic control. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
