Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
Keep your LG refrigerator running smoothly with our genuine OEM Ice Maker Assembly Kit. This set includes an ice mold and a control device. Water from your refrigerator's inlet valve fills the mold, where it's held until it freezes into perfectly formed ice cubes. Your refrigerator automatically ejects the ice and refills the mold to maintain a full ice storage bin. Before installing the kit, please make sure to safely store perishable food items and disconnect the refrigerator power source. Don't forget to wear work gloves for a safe installation. If your ice cubes have been smaller than usual, it might be time to replace your refrigerator's water filter.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Loud banging when ice is trying to dump into bucket. Ice is visibly stuck in the tray.
For model number LFXS24663S/01
Hi Christine, thank you for the question. Trapped ice in the ice maker means that your ice maker is either failing and the rake has become misaligned. The other possibility is that you are just not getting enough water. Fill the ice maker up with water manually and wait 24 hours to see if it cycles and dumps the ice. If so, then your fill tube behind the icemaker is frozen and needs to be thawed out. Then you need to make sure you have good water pressure going to the refrigerator from your house and the water inlet valve is not clogged. On the other side, if the ice maker does not cycle and dump the ice, replace the ice maker assembly, part number PS7788170. We hope this solves your problem!
The icemaker makes a very loud knocking sound and does not provide ice

Hi Tom, thank you for the question. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the ice maker assembly, part number PS7788170, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
