My dishwasher all of a sudden will not drain. I cleaned out the screen etc. And from then on it won't drain. I checked the tube from the dishwasher drain through to the sink and there are no clogs. Is this valve flapper the flap i see when i take the drain hose off of the dishwasher? Can this cause it not to drain? Thank you for any help you can provide.
For model number FGHD2433KF1
Hi Pete,
Thank you for your question. Yes, the valve flapper could be the issue and it may need to be replaced. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will also need to check the pump, the drain hose and the water inlet valve. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

System appears to be taking on waste water from the sink. The water is dirty and stinks up the hole kitchen when opened. Sink full of water, turn on the disposal i think this is the cause. Is there a directional valve needing to be installed?
For model number ffbd2406nb7b
Hello Jim, thank you for your question. It sounds like the dirty water is coming back into the unit after the drain cycle is finished. We would recommend replacing the Pump Check Ball PartSelect Number: PS420460 and Flapper Valve PartSelect Number: PS8689794. I hope this helps!

My dishwasher leaves dirty water in bottom of washer.
For model number CDB600KB0
Hi Dean, thank you for your question. If water is being left at the bottom of your machine, I would suggest making sure that your filter, drain pump, and tubing are not obstructed by debris. Especially your filter there. If there are no obstructions you may also want to take a look at your float switch and you will want to take a look and make sure your dishwasher is level. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My flapper valve was twisted and the washer would not drain. Can I operate the unit without one?
For model number 587.1526 or 154885801
Hi Reginald, thank you for your inquiry. A flapper valve is built into the drain hose or between the drain pump and the hose. These valves are nothing more than a soft rubber flap that allows water to flow out to the drain and keeps what remains in the drain hose from flowing back into the dishwasher sump. Since the valve is soft and pliable, it is also subject to deterioration such as warpage or breaking completely off. Also, it is possible for a piece of debris in the water to get stuck in the valve and prop it open, allowing drain water to flow back into the dishwasher. After clearing the debris, your dishwasher will start draining, and we recommend not using it without the flapper valve because it prevents the dirty water from re-entering the dishwasher. So you replace the flapper valve, part number PS8689794. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

Hello Richard, Thank you for your inquiry. We show that the rinse aid cover is only available as part of the dispenser-part# PS11770487. We hope this helps.
Hi my dishwasher is not fully draining properly, I removed bottom filter and drain excess water. I noticed there’s a round white ball on a roller track, wondering if that’s suppose to be there, I don’t see a ball in any of your videos?
For model number FFCD2418US1A
Hello Frank, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the filters and drain hose for cleaning. If it does not resolve the issue, then you may need to replace the drain pump, part number PS8689824, to fix the problem. The small ball you are referring to is a part of the dishwasher that allows water to pass in one direction, so that it goes out of the dishwasher. Glad to be of assistance!
How do i troubleshoot pump vs flapper. Drain hose is clear/unobstructed
For model number FFBD2406NS4A
Hi Mickee, thank you for reaching out. To troubleshoot the flapper, inspect the flapper valve for any visible signs of damage, wear, or debris that might prevent it from sealing properly. Ensure that the flapper valve moves freely and is not stuck in an open or closed position. To trouble shoot the drain pump, listen for the sound of the drain pump when the dishwasher is supposed to be draining. If you don't hear the pump running, it might be faulty. Use a multimeter to test the electrical continuity of the pump. If there is no continuity, the pump may need to be replaced. We hope this information helps!

Dishwasher drains perfectly but always stops with an i20 error during a normal wash cycle with always 81 minutes left. Drain hose has no kinks or bends and filters are perfectly clean. What do you think the solution is ?
For model number fpid2498sf1a
Hello John, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, I20 error code means there is a pressure sensor switch issue under the tub. We would recommend checking the pressure switch, part number PS12586275, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
