Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This genuine OEM door handle is compatible with various models of microwave. It is made of highly durable plastic with a metallic coating. The door handle provides users with a convenient way of opening and closing the microwave door. It provides a secure grip and allows users to easily access the interior cavity when placing or removing food items. If the handle is broken, loose, or out of alignment then you will need to replace it in order to ensure the safe and effective use of your microwave. Mounting screws are sold separately.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

The handle is broken, is diagram position 1801 the integrated part for the door or does the door come with the handle and how do I install it?
For model number JVM3162RJ1SS
Hello Shailendra,
Thanks for your question. The door handle assembled with the door is part number PS11762747 whereas the part number of the handle on its own is part number PS8754188. Before replacing the door handle, unplug the microwave from the power source. Use a screwdriver and plastic putty knife to remove the lining from the inside of the door. Remove retaining clips holding the frame in place to access the screws for the door. Remove the screws and set them aside. Remove the inside door panel, then remove the door handle and install the new handle. Use the screws to secure the door. Reinstall the inside door panel and back lining. We hope this helps!

Ordered door handle removed out covering (choke) on inside of door but still do not have access to the phillips head screws holding the door handle on, how do i proceed from here ?
For model number PVM9179SF1SS
Hi Ross,
Thank you for your question. It is likely that you would also have to remove the choke to be able to see the screws that are just behind the front panel of your microwave door. You would also remove that the same way you removed your choke cover, with a putty knife and gently prying it away from the front of the door. Good luck with your repair.

I took off the skinny, plastic piece that has small clips holding it in, unfortunately the screws aren't still in my view. Do i need to take another layer off to expose the screws?
Hi Teresa,
Thank you for your question. Yes you would. You would have to gently pry away your middle choke piece as well to reveal your screws. You should be able to do that the same way that you pulled off your choke cover piece. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

For model number PVM9179SF2SS
Hello Bill, thank you for your question. The inner frame may need to be removed. There should be one screw on either side that holds that onto the outer door frame. With that removed the handle screws should be visible. I hope this helps.
