Upper washer rack rusted out.
The repair is simple and straightforward. I rated as a bit difficult since the rack mounts on the new were located in the wrong place.
Releasing the rack from the slide rails requires either a Phillips screwdriver or a ratchet and socket.

... Read moreack are in the same position as on the old rack. Mine were not and I did not discover until the new rack was fully installed. Once the unit was back out, 7 SS screws need to be removed on each side to move the mounts to the correct position.

I just received my new upper rack. Its a different rack from old one. Does the old tracks fit on this new upper rack?

Hello David, thank you for contacting us. Replacement parts are sometimes updated by the manufacturer and may appear different than the originals, but will function the same. The original rails should be fine with the updated rack.

Upper rack sticking. Has a roller bearing type slide. Removed front end cap but tray does NOT remove. How do I fix this?

Hello Paul, Thank you for the question. The most common issue is a damaged Roller and Axle. If they have been inspected and are good, you will need to replace the Inner Rail. We are sorry, we looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There are no part substitutions listed. Our suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers and contact us back with the updated substitution number. Hello Martin, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have an installation video for the RACK UPPER ROLL KIT part number WD28X10413 for your appliance. The repair is not difficult though, and is easily completed by removing the end cap that snaps into the end of the slide rail on the inside of the dishwasher. Once that end cap is removed on either side, the rack simply slides out. The new one can be installed into the slide rails and the end caps are put back into the ends of the rails. I hope this helps!

Is this just the upper rack part that you put the glasses and dishes on? Thats all I need because of rust issues.
