Door Gasket Specifications

This is a door gasket, also known as a door seal, for Samsung refrigerators. This gasket is used to create an air-tight barrier between the internal temperature of the freezer compartment and the outside ambient temperature of your home. If this gasket is damaged, moldy, or warped, it will need to be replaced immediately to continue to keep your freezer and refrigerator cooling optimally. This gasket measures approximately 34 inches long by 24 inches wide, and simply wraps around the edge of the freezer door. This gasket is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Freezer door opens fine - But, if you shut it and try to open it again it is stuck solid until about five minutes, then you can open it again. Is there some type of vapor lock that's not equalizing?

Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. If you had the door open, the warm air from the outside mixed with the cold air inside. When you shut the door a vacuum formed keeping you from opening it. It usually takes a few minutes for the internal pressure equalize before you can reopen the door. We hope this helps!
