I replaced the rear baffle but now lawn debris fly's out the top of the rear deflector assembly towards the engine and covers the top of the deck quickly.
For model number toro 20378/serial 406955718
Hi Jeff, thank you for reaching out to PartSelect. Ensure that the rear baffle is installed correctly and securely. Examine the rear baffle to ensure it is not damaged or bent. Even a slight misalignment can disrupt the airflow, causing debris to escape from the deflector assembly. If you notice any issues, try repositioning the baffle. Inspect the rear deflector assembly for any signs of wear, damage, or misalignment. Over time, these components can become worn or loose, affecting their ability to redirect debris properly. Consider replacing the deflector assembly, part number PS8849635, if necessary. Regularly clean out any debris that accumulates in the deflector assembly and around the deck. Excessive debris can hinder proper airflow and cause the issue you're experiencing. Keep the area clear to maintain efficient operation. Glad to be of assistance!
