What size feeler gage to use to set the gap? Is it .016 or .018? I have one that will not start. It has fire and fuel, but all I get is a pop once in a while. I cas see the spark and I cleaned the surfaces on the iron plates and the magnet on the flywheel, but still struggling to get it started. And it will not start whit ether.

Hello Dean, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the spark plug gap for your model is .030 inch. Based on the description that you have provided, the issue could be with the armature magneto, part number PS8968253. It controls ignition timing and sends voltage to the spark plug. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this helps!

What is the spacing on the magneto coil from the flywheel? Thanks,Sam
For model number 190702
Hi Sam, thank you for your inquiry. Use the included feeler gauge to correctly gap the spacing between the armature magneto and the flywheel magnets. Spin the flywheel back so that the magnets pull the armature magneto into position. The card feeler gauge will create the right gap. Tighten the screws. Turn the flywheel some more, and the card will come out. We hope this solves your problem!
