How do i remove the 'shield' on a Maytag dishwasher Ps897815 manufacturer part number 8283527
For model number MDBH969AWW5

Hello Mary, thank you for your question. The shield is mounted to the sump, between the sump and motor. If you can't get in between the two parts you would have to remove the motor and then detach the shield from the pump. This part is held on with a small screw or rivet. I hope this helps!
