Fixed both lights on side-by-side
Replaced this socket followed excellent video on you site. Both the freezer and refrigerator lights went out at the same time. Bulbs were good and couldn’t believe both door switches would break at the same time. So I replaced this socket and both lights in freezer and frig worked.

Part selection made easy
The parts were an exact match, we now have light in the fridge. Again, the ordering part was made easy by your user friendly web site. It did take a very long time to receive the switch & socket. I had no way to track the package.

Fit Perfectly
The item I ordered from PartsSelect was a socket-Light for a Frigidaire refrigerator. The part fit perfectly. I just pried out the old socket, and inserted the new one. This site is perfect for those who are looking for a specific part for their appliances or equipment. I would recommend PartsSelect to anyone in need of a service like this. Can be a little expensive, but overall I am very happy with my purchase, since this part could not be found locally.

Is there a video showing how to replace the light socket? The switch is okay.
For model number 253.60412413
Hi Robert, Thank you for the question. We do not have a video for this socket as of yet but here are some instructions. You can turn the socket about a 1/4th of the way counter clockwise. Then you can remove the socket by holding the tabs on either side and pulling firmly. Hope this helps!

The light in my refrigerator stopped working. I swapped the bulb with a known working bulb. I removed the door switch and tested continuity with my multimeter, and it passed. I reinstalled the switch and did a continuity test with the light socket contacts. It had continuity when the lamp switch was up and did not when it was down. I assume this how it should work but now I do not know what the problem is?
Hello Gregory,
Thanks for your question. It will be model-specific to recommend a part, but if you have a light board in your fridge, you may want to test that as well.
I hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty light switch PS899597, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. The light bulb should be on the left side near the ice maker. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Hello Andre,
Thanks for your question. You may also want to test the door switch for continuity, and replace it if it shows no continuity.
I hope this helps.
