59665932703 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

We removed three screws, unplugged the wire and then removed the old ice maker. Installed the new ice maker with the screws, plugged in the wire and shortly after that we had ice! I was nervous about this repair but it was so easy and the part was here in three days.

This was a snap. Loosened 3 screws, removed
old ice maker. Made cutout for water chute. Plugged in
wiring harness plug. Installed new ice maker. Tightened 3 screws.

Unplug power to refridg/freezer. Removed the screw in rt. rear bottom of ice maker to remove. After removing slightly, unplug pigtail. Remove ice maker completely. Remove large square cover from left side to expose motor. Remove screws to remove motor. Replce with new. Replace ice maker to freezer, plug pigtail back in, put screw back in rt rear bottom, plug refridg/freezer back into power source. Ice was making in about 2 1/2 hours.

ordered the part, pulled out the icemaker unit, removed the module, put the new module in, reinstalled the ice maker unit and let it run.

With instructions from PartSelect.com this was an easy fix. I tested the motor's electric as suggested and was satisfied that the Motor Module (WPL W10190935) would correct the problem. UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR! I popped the outside plastic cover off to expose the unit. (1) remove the wire unit that runs the length of the cube maker (2) remove the 3 screws that secure the motor unit and carefully remove it (3) carefully line up the new unit, slide in place and replace the 3 screws (4) install the wire that was removed in step(1). Connect electric to the refrigerator and wait about 2 hours for your first ice cubes. PartSelect.com is the ONLY supplier that you will ever need! Great instructions and trouble shooting suggestions. Removed broken handle and replaced with new one by inserting 2 screws. Just took about 2 minutes and is a great improvement!

Unscrewed the old handle, cleaned the area, and screwed on the new handle. Simple, and took just a couple of minutes. Our kind of repair!
The handle is now whiter than the rest of the fridge, but (1) were just happy to even find a replacement handle so we could switch it out and (2) no longer worried about it breaking and our having to purchase a new refrigerator just for that reason, when this one is still working just fine. Replaced the relay and capacitor it runs.

Broken plastic part in motor assembly. Very simple to replace. Sears wanted $322.00!!!

i noticed that no water was getting to the ice maker. rather than messing around with parts, i bought the entire unit. easy to remove old one and install new one. thanks...ice started again in about an hour. unit cost less than a service call!

unscrewed old handle and screwed in new one, whalaa. thank you.

Loosened two top screws using a hand held mirror and screwdriver and removed a bottom screw then unplugged the unit inside. Five minutes and repair was complete. Easy as that!

It was exactly as everyone else described--remove old ice maker, unplug, plug in new ice maker, attach new ice maker. 3 screws, 1 plug. My plug was the one on the ice maker not on the refrigerator (ie I used the wiring/plug that was already in the freezer).

After first unplugging the refrigerator from it's electrical power source,I removed the lower screw of the ice making unit with a nut driver. I then loosened the upper two screws which hold the retainer clips that secure the unit tight to the freezer wall. I then lifted the unit upward and outward a few inches to allow access to the wire harness. I unplugged the haness from rear of the freezer and removed the unit completely.
To install just reverse the procedure.
