Oven light on control panel wont come on and oven wont light. Broil light comes on in broil mode and broil works. Is the problem in the control panel
For model number JGBP26WEH6WW
Hi Glen,
Thank you for your question. If the bake option is not lighting and the oven will not work, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multi-meter. When testing the sensor with a multi-meter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. If the sensor checks out fine, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the round style oven igniter, the electronic control board, the deflector oven, the bake burner tube and the oven safety valve. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

A lightining Strike fried the circuit board
A G.E. tech came out and quoted $500 to replace the circuit board. I unbolted the board myself and used the camera in my phone to take a picture of the wiring. Then I came to PartSelect.com and using their diagrams found the replacement board for $75. It came in the mail a few days later. I used to picture in my phone to reconnect all the

My old burners were beyond the point of coming clean and made my stove top look bad.
My husband and I simply took the burner units out of the packing, took the old ones off, put the new ones in. The new units needed to be leveled, but the leveling nuts included fit perfectly, and the entire repair took less than 15 minutes.

two of the burners were not working at all, the other two were blackening pots and pans
I turned off the gas flow to the appliance, removed the old oriface spuds with the adjustable wrench, inserted the new oriface spuds and tightened them with the adjustable wrench. The double burner assembly just dropped on. They fit perfectly. I did not have to use the leveling nuts that were included with the burners. The old levelers we
