Ice auger not working to push the ice to the ice dispenser
Easy to remove the auger Motor and Solenoid, however, it didn't fix the problem. $300.00 into it I now have to purchase a circuit board for $382.00. Not a happy camper.

Doesn't make ice / doesn't dispense ice
Removed and replace solenoid manifold valve in rear of appliance using inadequate You Tube video. Removed and replaced augur motor after dismantling various housings using a seriously mistaken You Tube video. The latter video informed us that the yoke that screwed on the motor's shaft was a reversed Left Hand thread. It wasn't at all,

Ice dispenser motor stopped working and had to replace it
Removed the ice box and used a long screw driver to remove thhe two screws holding the motor, unplugged the motor and replaced it with the new one. A fairly easdy job that took 20 min.
I ordered the complete part and installed in about 10 minutes. The order went very fast, part was in stock and everything went very smooth. PartSelect.com was very easy to work with and they have a very satisfied customer. I will definitely use PartSelect.com again. Thanks for the great service

Your expert told me that i need to "remove the four corner screws". This model does not have four corner screws. It has 2 screws on either side of the augur fork and 3 more scattered on the surface of the cover plate. It also has at least 4 hard to reach hex bolts on the sides of the cover plate. I'm aware that the youtube video says to remove the 4 corner screws, but the video shows a completely different cover. Does anyone know how to access this augur motor?

Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your question. Here is some information that may help you in installing the auger motor. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. Remove the ice bin. Once the ice bin has been removed, you will see 2 screws (1/4" hex head) at the bottom of the auger housing. Remove the screws and lift the housing out. Disconnect the wire harness at the back wall for the housing and pull the housing out of the freezer. Take the coupler off of the shaft of the auger and remove the screws holding the auger in place. Pull auger motor out and disconnect the wires. Reconnect the wires for the new auger motor and reinstall in reverse. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will not dispense ice cubes or water
For model number FFHS3213LE9
Hi Jerome, thank you for your question. It sounds like your control board might actually be the issue. Unfortunately however it has been discontinued and we have no known replacement listed in our system. We have no further information. You are welcome to contact the manufacturer of the part to see if they have recently released a new substitute. This was the part number: 242053503. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Ice dispenser only gives crushed ice not cubed; do I need to replace the auger motor?
For model number FFHS2622MH3
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your question. If you were previously getting crushed ice and you have switched to cubed ice, it is normal to get a small amount of crushed ice. If this is not the situation and cubed ice is coming out all the time, then there may be some ice cubes caught behind the ice bucket. This can prevent the lever from dispensing the cubes. Remove the bucket from the refrigerator and remove any cubes that you find. This should resolve the issue. If there were no cubes behind the ice bucket, shut the door and press the ice dispenser button to see if any ice will dispense. If you hear a snapping noise, place the bucket back in the refrigerator and try cubed ice again. If no ice cubes are dispensed, check and see if there is frozen ice in the bucket. If you hear no snap, then you will need to inspect the area where the cubes are coming out of to see what the issue is. If you are not comfortable doing this repair, then you will need to have a technician check the refrigerator for you.
We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

My auger appears to be locked or bound up. It makes some noise when it starts to turn but it will not advance. Do I need to replace the auger or is there a gear perhaps a stuck bearing causing the issue. This refrigerator is in a vacation home and the ice maker switch is always set off when we leave. We shut our water off too and so we did not want the ice maker to run when we are away from the site. We noticed recently the ice maker was cycling the ice cube ejection mechanism even when the switch was off. Ice cubes were not being made because water was not filling the ice cube tray when the switch was off. Lastly, we get a lot of frost build up around the dispenser flap - the flap appears to seal tightly so is there a defroster issue. Please list what parts you believe are needed. Thanks
For model number EW26SS70IS1
Hi Dave, thank you for contacting us. We have found that if the flap on the ice dispenser is not closing properly, it allows warm air to enter the freezer compartment and causes frost buildup. The dispenser flap not closing properly also triggers the auger motor to run as it receives signals that the flap is not closed and the ice is being dispensed continuously. You may need to check the dispenser module, part number PS10060203, to fix the issue. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
Hello Dwight, Thank you for your inquiry. We show that this part will not fit your model, the compatible auger motor is part# PS12705611. We hope this helps.
Very loud growling/grinding noise when dispensing ice through the door. Is this the auger motor?
For model number FGUS2642LF2
Hello Heather, thank you for the question. Yes, we would recommend replacing the auger motor, part number PS10057235, to fix the issue. Good luck with the repair!
