This is the rotating ring assembly for your microwave. It rests under the glass tray, and allows it to rotate so your food can cook evenly. If you notice that your food is not cooking evenly or if the tray does not rotate, a damaged rotating ring assembly could be the cause. Occasionally, the wheels on the rotating ring assembly will wear down and this can prevent it from turning. This part is approximately 8 inches in diameter and is sold individually.

Motor quit turning
Unscrewed the base plate (3 screws) on the bottom side of the microwave, unscrewed the motor (1 screw) replaced motor, reattached plate, plugged in power cord, works great! Took 3-5 minutes
So simple!! I took the glass plate out of the microwave and removed the plastic part that it was sitting on and installed the new part. I put the glass plate back in and turned the microwave on and the glass plate started to rotate just like it was supposed to. The wheels on the old part had become flat and that's why it wouldn't rotate.

What is the diameter of this plastic ring?

Thank you for your question. The manufacturer does not give us exact specifications on their parts. However this part is pictured on a 1 inch grid background so that customers can get an approximate size. This part is approximately 8 inches in diameter. Good luck with your repair.

Microwave will start to turn and then make a weird noise. When not operating, the "rack" will turn a bit and stop, not spin like it used to. How do i know if it's the motor or another part?

Thank you for your question. If the glass tray will not turn, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. Do the wheels on turn table have flat spots on them?

Can one purchase just the white plastic wheels that are part of the rotating ring assembly? Rotating Ring very functional, just missing some plastic wheels.
