Dryer runs for a bit then stops. After checking all thermostats i found that the overload protector in the motor opens up when checking across from the start switch to the door switch. Voltage was good right until it shut off. i removed power and checked resistance and it was open. after Temp dropped it closed again. Would this be an indication of a bad motor or some other issue over heating it? All duct is clear. the machine has been apart and cleaned.

Dryer ones for five minutes then stops all together push start button dead 2 or3 minutes later run sometimes for 5 minutes sometimes longer

Hello Mark, Thank you for your inquiry. Check the air flow inside and outside of your dryer. I would also check the blower wheel, the lint trap, the cycling thermostat, the high limit thermostat, the thermistor, and the timer. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!
