The pantry end cap is also known as a drawer support or a door shelf trim. This specific piece is sold individually and is meant for the left side of your refrigerator. It snaps into place on the door of your fridge, which allows it to hold items on the door shelf. To change the left side end cap on your refrigerator you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver. Users have ranked this installation as easy to do, with a less than thirty minute repair time.

Complete Success
My wife wanted the broken refrigerator bottom drawer door fixed. I thought it was going to be too difficult to do. But she insisted I order the parts. I did. Not only did PartSelect send the two parts quickly, they also sent a video on how to install them. It was perfect - I don't think I could have done it without the video. Complete success. I was a hero. At least for a couple days.

Original Part, easy repair
I actually bought both the Left and Right Pantry End Caps - the pins that hold the door had broken off during the 18 years we've owned the refrigerator. When the second one broke I thought we'd have to do without the door - but a quick search found both parts in stock. Easy 10 minute replacement of both sides - right is a little more time consuming than the left. Fast shipping had the parts here and installed quickly.

Repaired two issues: plastic hinge tab for pantry lid on left pantry end cap and door gasket on right door had to be replaced
The videos provided by PartSelect for both repairs were excellent. Repairs went exactly as per videos. Door gasket arrived with deformations do to folding in storage and shipping. Used hair dryer to remove puckers as instructed in Video. This is a must before installing gasket.
broken hinge pin for deli drawer cover - replace end cap
First, turn off the refrigerator so the open door alarm doesn't drive you crazy while you are working with the refrigerator doors open! Then, remove both crisper drawers, remove deli drawer, remove deli cover from two pins (one was already broken), remove the bottom glass shelf and the plastic glass support. None of this requires any to
... Read moreols, all just slide or lift out. Then, using a nut driver remove the two screws holding the drawer slide from the pantry end cap. You access one of the screws from an opening while the slide is all the way in. This is where I needed needle nose pliers to remove the screw from the opening after it was unscrewed - if your nut driver is magnetic you won't need the pliers. To access the second screw, pull the slide all of the way out. Then you remove the broken end cap by unscrewing 3 screws with the nut driver. Once the screws are removed, you lift up on the front of the end cap to loosen it from a catch on the inside and then pull the end cap out. Install the new end cap by sliding the two tabs into the back of the refrigerator and then pushing down on the end cap to set it in the catch. Now replace the screws, re-attach the slide with the two screws, reinstall the glass and the drawers and then reinstall the drawer cover by slipping it into the pins on each side (be careful when depressing the pins, do it gently or they may break off). Turn the refrigerator back on. You are done These instructions make it sound much more difficult than it actually is, it takes as long to remove and replace the drawers and it does to do the actual installation of the end cap..

I broke the tab with the pin which held the pop-up cover onto the bottom drawer
I removed the drawer, the two drawers above it and the glass plate. I removed the left end cap, unscrewed the metal runner from it and put it onto the new end cap. I installed the new end cap into the refrigerator and replaced the various drawers and covers. The pop-up was a little tight, so I removed the drawers again and loosened the

Bottom Drawer pin was broken
Replaced the left side endcap for the drawer. Three screws and it popped out. Easy process once I actually looked at it. Drawer cover now works as designed. Replaced inline water filter. Not problem there.
Repair was simple and just as described by several others on this site! From finding the part, ordering, quick shipping and instructions, PartsSelect made this job a breeze to complete.
The repair required that I removed two drawers and a glass panel; removal of three screws completed the disassembly process. The ordered part was delivered without delay, which made the repair almost a pleasure.

Cover to pullout drawer hinge broken
Required removal of the entire endcap piece. A total of 5 screws. Hardest part was realizing i didn't have the right size socket wrench to start. Got that and replaced all 5 screws in under 5 minutes. $18 for part, $10 for tool.

My jennair uses Whirlpool wpw10122078 endcap which is identically shaped but has no screws its all snap in it appears. How do i remove the existing endcap (the hinge for the door is broken) there are no screws but it seems to be wedged in pretty tight.
For model number JFC2290VEM4
Hi Daniel, thank you for your question. The endcap does not snap it. It would have screws that attach it to your fridge wall. We have a video on how to replace the part here: https://youtu.be/wvqM2MrCNyo. Good luck with your repair.
