Also shows model # KECC607B: KECC664B: KECC667B. Black ceramic coot top. Front, Left burner with controls showing from HI to Ultra Even Melt low. Element is not heating at full power. only inner ring of elements appear to be working. What is potential issue and part number for the element replacement
For model number KECC604BBL00
Hi George,
Thank you for your question. If the inner ring on the left-front burner element is the only section of that burner that is working, you will need to check both the element and the burner switch that controls it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see which part is causing the issue. Before removing and checking these parts, unplug the range from the electrical outlet. First, visually inspect element for any signs of bubbling, burning, wear, holes, or damage. If it is fine, test it with the multimeter. Touch each of the terminals one at a time with one probe while holding the other probe to the outside surface of the element. If either terminal shows continuity, it is defective. To test the entire element for continuity, place each of the probes on the terminals, one on each. You should receive a reading between 19 to 115 ohms. If you get any other reading, you will need to replace the burner. When checking the burner switch, visually inspect it for signs of burning, or overheated wires and terminals. If no issues are found, test it with the multimeter. Touch the L1 and H1 terminals with the probes. Once you have completed that test, touch the probes to the L2 & H2 terminals. If your test results indicate that there is no continuity between one or both sets of terminals, you need a replacement infinite switch. We hope this helps!
What is the number for the large front element? I think it is part 4 in the diagram. Thank you. We also need to replace the entire glass top ... broke from cooking. can you tell me the part number? also, do you have a name and phone number of a Maytag service company in kingston ontario? thank you.
For model number YMER8800FZ
Hi Lucille, it appears to be number 4 sadly I could not find this part listed. The cook top is linked below. The number for may-tag is 800-688-2002. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
I have a Maytag range, model number MER8775AW. The front left surface burner is not working properly. This is the 3-size burner, and it goes on and stays on, instead of going on and off. I've read I need to replace the infinite switch, but it's not clear to me which part I need: WPW10391743 or WPW10411934. Can you tell me the difference between these two, and which I need for my range's front left burner? Thank you!
For model number MER8775AW0
Hi Bob, thank you for reaching out. The correct infinite switch for the left front burner for your model is part number PS11754114. The other part number WPW10411934 you mentioned is for the right front burner. We hope this information is useful!
