Is this part suitable for the front right dual burner? It turns on but immediately goes to high, not low or med. temp. The infinite switch seems to be the problem from what I’ve read. Thanks!

I ordered this part for the left front burner of my Maytag range. Installed, it has swapped the function of the burner. Before, when the knob was turned to the right, it engaged the small part of the burner, and to the left, the large part. Now the function is backwards. There was no specific part for right or left, but it seems that there should be?

Hi Sue, thank you for contacting us. We would suggest checking the bake element first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the oven control board, part number PS11753211. It monitors the temperature and controls the oven heat. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
