Poor heat control of the power boil element also would not shut down correctly
Remove and unplug the control panel. Remove four 1/4 in screws securing the metal panel to which the four rangetop controls are mounted. Unscrew the affected control, be careful to note the wiring layout on the control. Reassemble and test test out all functions.

Our right front burner will turn on, briefly and then go off. The red light stays on 24/7 even with totally cold burners
For model number P S905S P3SS
Hello Beverly, thank you for the question. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend testing the heating element for continuity with a multimeter. If there is no continuity, replace it with part number PS2321567. We hope this helps.
Right front burner stays on even after know turned to off? Heat indicator light, thankfully stays on. Would this be the infinite control switch ? What part number?
For model number JSP42SN2SS
Hi MJ, thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model and would suggest checking the infinite switch, part number PS1481076. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. We hope this helps!

Turn on the rear left infinite switch, the red "hot surface" light stays on, the "burner on" light stays off; turn off the infinite switch, the red "hot surface" light stays on and the burner stays on lower heating. Which one should i replace, this infinite switch or the module indicator light as part number: Ps8746160?
For model number JCSP46SR3SS
Hello, Thank you for your question. You will need to replace the switch itself for the burner, Typically if it is not functioning it will not heat up the element and indicate that it is on. We hope this helps.
