My ice maker stopped making ice. I have water in the ice maker and water comes out of water dispenser.
Do you think it’s the ice maker?
It is cold in the ice area
For model number PVD28BYNBFS
Hi Michael, thank you for contacting us. Since you have water in the ice maker and water comes out of the water dispenser, it's likely that the issue is with the ice maker itself, part number PS16874486. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

I read through the questions. It appears my issue is similar to Robert's. However, my icemaker is making ice, it clicks. It appears when finished freezing ice it does not release ice immediately until some water come in during cycle. I assume the slight heat element is not working. anyway to repair?

Ice maker is not working, it clicks. No ice in the tray. I do have water in the water dispenser.
For model number PVD28BYNBFS
Hello Brenda, thank you for your inquiry. With no water in dispenser and the ice maker not working, we recommend replacing the Water inlet valve assembly PS12744135 as it supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator. Good luck with your repair.
THE ICE MAKER IS MAKING A CLICKING NOISE AND THE ARMS ARE NOT MOVING. THEREIS NO WATER IN THE ICE CUBE AREA. I DO HAVE COLD WATER ON THE DRINK DISPENSER. I HAVE REPLACED THE WATER DUAL SOLENOID #WE57X32000 THINKING IT WAS A FAULTY SOLENOID. WOULD THE RAKE ARMS NOT MOVING CAUSE THE WATER DISPENSER TO THE ICE CUBE TRAY NOT TO WORK? HELP!
For model number CVE28DP2NBS1
Hello David, thank you for contacting us. As you have already replaced the water inlet valve and the problem did not get resolved, we would suggest checking the water filter manifold, part number PS12744001, to solve the problem. It holds the water filter and connects the waterlines to the icemaker and the water dispenser. If it is clogged or damaged, it could most probably cause this issue. We hope this helps!
my ice maker keeps cycling as if it’s ejecting ice cubes

My icemaker is not making ice but my my fridge is dispensing water with good pressure. What would you recommend?
For model number CVE28DP2NBS1
Hello Mike, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the water inlet valve, part number PS12744135, to solve the problem. It supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator. Glad to be of assistance!
Does this part control the temperature in the ice maker? My icemaker is not making ice but the compartment doesn't feel cold enough, it cycles through with no water. I do have water coming through the water dispencer.
For model number PVD28BYNBFS
Hi Kyle, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the issue is not with the ice maker. The issue is most probably with the water inlet valve. We would suggest replacing the dual water valve with flow meter, part number PS12744135, to solve the problem. Glad to be of help!
My ice maker makes ice most of the time it won't eject the cubes. I thought the cubes were a little small so I replaced the inlet valve and it started working. For a week then quit again. I replaced the water lines coming into the fridge and the inlet valve again because the water line was deteriorating and it started working, for a week. I replaced the dual water valve and that made no change. Is my problem the ice maker itself, if so why does changing the inlet valve fix it for 7 to 10 days?
For model number PVD28BYNBFS
Hi Robert, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you have provided, we would suggest defrosting the ice maker. Over time, components within the ice maker can become frozen, preventing the ejection of ice cubes. If the issue persists, you may we would recommend checking the auger motor, part number PS12744139. It turns the auger that pushes the ice cubes through the dispenser chute. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
