Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This part is the replacement electronic control board for your gas range. It is approximately 11 inches by 4 inches. The control board monitors the temperature and allows you to control the oven heat. If the touchpad will not respond, your oven will not start, or if you are having difficulty controlling the heat, you may have an issue with the electronic control board. Be sure to disconnect power from your range before you begin this repair. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

End result... oven works again saving $$$$
Replacement went well as I have had some experience with schematics but for someone who has not had experience, a bit of labeling that showed where "new" and "old" intersected may help. Also...adding a few replacement screws would really help...fingers kept dropping some and looking for replacement ones that fell inside stove part or crawling around the floor at age 80 took a bit of time. But was able to bake a blueberry pie and have ribs for dinner so well done... job and pie. John

Did not work for my oven
Ordered this control panel which was supposed to be a replacement for my origonal unit. The circuit layout was different from mine but it came with a note that it would be ok. The board has no instructions but did have color markings that matched the 5 wires in my oven. Plugging those wires in, the unit did not light up or do anything. There are 2 extra wire tabs that are unlabeled. By putting the following the layout on the circuit diagram and moving a couple of the wires, i could get it to light up and do everything except get the bake function to work. I emailed to get confirmation of where the wires should actually go but did not get any info. Now I'm stuck with it since it has been installed. This unit may work for most who buy it but beware of the "This part may look different " disclosure. If there is any question, I would hold off installing it

Control panel stopped working
Very easy install of done correctly. When you pull range out, watch the gas line and don't pull it out of it's fittings. Two small Phillips head screws on the front panel low to the sides. Then two 5/16 screws on the top back panel and flip it forward. Rest it on the stove and the control panel is facing you. I'm a 30 year Electrician so p

Once that is done remove all wires and also a green ground wire that is under a screw. The new panel may NOT have the exact same configuration but the NUMBER on the terminals will be the same. Plus all color wires to the appropriate terminals and reinstall !! Great job!!

What does it mean when the stove makes a continual beep and the lcd display reads "bad line"
For model number RGB745BEH2CT
Hi John, Thank you for the question. A bad line error on this range indicates that the control board does not detect the proper electrical connections to the range. Check your house breakers first. If they are fine, then unplug the range (or shut off the breakers) and pull the range out. Check the wiring connections on the terminal block on the back of the appliance where the power outlet plug is connected. If the wiring on the terminal block is okay then you may want to check the voltage through the electrical outlet for the range if you have a volt/ohm meter. If there is the correct amount of volts going tot he appliance the Gas Oven Electronic Control/Clock may need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

When oven pre heating will make loud continual beeeep and say "bad line" or sometimes "f4". Sometimes it beeps and says "18" and everything lights up on the touch pad. If i replace the touch pad control board will that fix it ? And does the plastic touch pad cover ( # 128 on the schematic ) come with it ? Ours has holes in where it cracked. Thanks - john
For model number RGB745BEH2CT
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. It could be both of those parts that are the issue. However, the F4 error code means that you oven temperature sensor has shorted and needs to be replaced. I would suggest just quickly testing that sensor before changing out your touchpad and your control board. You can test it with a multi meter. When testing the probe, if your meter does not change from the neutral position or number, then you will have to change out the probe. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Have two of these stoves, one will not hold steady oven temperature. This has done this before so I replaced this following part and it fixed it for about 10 months. Hotpoint range/stove/oven igniter.Should I retry this same part again ? The other one has the display blank unless you are using the oven then it displays. What part may be the fix for this one ?
For model number RGB746WEH1WW
Hi Scott, Thank you for the question. For the oven not holding a steady temperature, before replacing the igniter again try to test the oven sensor, PartSelect Number: PS236043.Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. For the appliance with the display issues, sounds like a defective Gas Oven Electronic Control/Clock, Part Number: PS3486627. Good luck with the repair!

My oven doesn't seem to hold the temp works but takes longer to cook any thoughts
For model number RGB745EEH1BB
Hi David,
Thank you for your inquiry. If your oven is not heating evenly there are a few parts that may fix the issue for you. You may need to replace the flat style oven igniter, the oven sensor and the burner with igniter. I hope this helps with the repair. Thank you and have a great day!

We had a problem with a bug. I removed the board and cleaned it. The first time I did it the board worked fine. I had to remove it again and now am getting a code f7 and 12 flashing code.(I could not find a 12 code in any of the web sites). I know that we might need to replace the board but want to be sure that it needs to be replaced. One of the sources said that one or more of the buttons maybe stuck down. What do you think?
For model number JGB282DET1BB
Hi Willy, Thank you for the question. You can use a hair dryer to warm the touch pad up and rub it with a dry clothe to see if there is a stuck button. If this does not fix the issue the board will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

What does it mean when F4 shows up on the control panel screen when i try to use the oven
For model number RGB745BEHCCT
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your question. The F4 error code means: Open or Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) - Check sensor harness and connection between oven sensor and oven control. Test your oven sensor with a multi meter. If the sensor is okay, and if wiring is ok, replace control board (clock). Good luck with your repair.

The oven and broiler won't turn on. The oven will heat up when self cleaning is turned on. The rest of the control panel and clock work. What does this mean?
For model number JGB3000ER4WW
Hi Glenn, Thank you for the question. If the elements turn on and heat up during the clean cycle but not during the regular bake and broil, I suggest replacing the oven control board. Hope this helps!

My + button wasn't working. I opened back looked for ribbon but none to be found. Than I noticed the little plastic tab that I guess exerts the pressure on the actual button had disconnected. While trying to get it out another came loose on the off button. I carefully put them back in place. Now the + button is working but not the off button - even when I depress the actual white piece inside it does not work and wont turn off. If I do have to replace control tab can I also get a new front/face panel and will the wiring match up easily? And if course will this fix my oven button problems?
For model number JGBP33WEH1WW
Hello Jacob and Jessica, Thank you for the question. The tabs are part of the housing and are only sold as part of the Oven Electronic Control board, PartSelect Number PS3486627. They should not come free from the housing and board. This board can be used with the Panel you have on the appliance and is the same as the one on the appliance. The Overlay sticker that sticks to the front PartSelect Number PS953663 has been discontinued and is no longer made sorry. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
My oven and broiler quit working. The surface burners work fine. How do I know if the bad part is the oven control board or the gas valve regulator. The touchpad beeps and the lights say that the oven is preheating, but it is not.
For model number rgb745wehaww
Hi Alan, thank you for reaching out. If the touchpad on your range is beeping, it most likely indicates a faulty control board, part number PS3486627. You can test the control board and the gas valve regulator with a multimeter for continuity. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
