My stove was a slide in, little more to take apart than a freestanding stove. Kind of had to figure it myself as there really were no directions.
Part was exactly the same as old one, once I had the top off install was very easy.

Fairly easy to replace, back to working order
The part came quickly and replaced the 'main' burner on our stove. The previous element had burned out and replacement was actually pretty easy. Two screws under the glass top behind the oven door released the hinged 'lid' and three metal clips and a few wire clips disconnected and the old one was out and the new one was in. Turned back on the power and we're back.

Center part of the heating element failed. (Broken, not burned)
Cut all power to the range. Easy to remove front panel and then screws and nuts that hold both white frame and glass top to range. The center burner element of the large triiple burner was not working
The real challenge on this particular glass top range was to figure out which screws had to be removed to lift the glass top to get at the burner elements to do a replacement.
Removed the two side screws holding the control panel in place. Disconnected the two wire harnesses and took off the control panel to allow easier acces
... Read mores. Then examined the screws attaching the vertical plate in front of the glass top. Most of them were on the on the vertical plate but a few were in the bottom of the horizontal plate. If successful, the vertical plate can be moved forward giving access to the glass top. You pull up on the front of the glass top and when it just clears the vertical front plate you pull the top forward a bit to get the back end of the top out of the read chrome vent piece. I then leaned the glass top up to about a 75 deg angle and then propped the top with a 24” wooden garden stake. I used two stakes to hold the top up. The challenge after that is to remove the old burner and carefully note the colored wiring and locations of the connectors and removed the three old clips. That took a bit of effort. several of the wiring harnesses were very short so you had to be careful when removing and installing the new burner. The burner has numbers stamped on the metal and you must note each number where the clips are located. The rest is to reverse the process. Some of the insulation pieces came off and some of the insulation clips fell off and you must be sure to get the insulation pieces back on in the correct location. Expect a lot of gunk that needs to be cleaned on the top and trim pieces. I save around $200 by doing my own replacement.

Large 3 element burner quit and hot temp light stayed on constant
Thought it was the switch, being 2 of the wires were burnt. After troubleshooting, and determining the burner was getting power from the switch, but still not working, I ohmed the elements on the burner. There was no continuity through the elements. Checked the contacts in the temperature probe in the burner. The contacts were open, be
... Read morecause the probe broke internally. Replaced the burner, and it all works now. Also replaced the switch, since it was burnt. Had to put new ends on the wires that were burnt also. This is the second time we had to replace this burner. The first time, the large burner element broke. Little disappointed that these burners don't last longer. We bought the stove new, but it was out of warranty when the burners quit.

The middle size of the three sizes of heating element built into 12'', 9'' and 6' doesn't work. Do i need to replace all of the 12'',9'', 6''? How to remove the glass cooktop if we have to install a new three sizes of heating element (12'', 9'' and 6'')
For model number PS950SF3SS
Hi Ket,
Thank you for your question. If there is only one burner, the medium sized burner, that is not working that is not working, then the issue maybe with the burner switch that controls it. You should check both the burner switch and the element with a multimeter to see which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The two middle elements on the triple burner(9" and 6") have stopped working. The 12" still turns on and heats up. What could cause this and how can it be fixed?
For model number ps950sf3ss
Hello Dennis, thank you for your question. It sounds like the Triple Haliant Element has become faulty and needs to be replaced. This part number PS8754838 is the correct replacement for your model. You should also check the Terminal Block (part PS953027) to see if there is any damaged electrical wires. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

My large 12" element has 3 sizes in it. This is the power boil one. The smalest element does not work. I replaced the element with a new one and the problem is still there. What else can it be?
For model number PS950SF3SS
Hi David, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your radiant element. It should be reading between 0 - 120 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My burner 12" not work
For model number JB750SF2SS
Hi Carlos, it is likely a faulty switch or element. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
My large triple element will come on for a few minutes and then shut off
Also the red indicator light will stay on for that element
For model number JS750DF3WW
Hi Don,
Thank you for your question. If the element will only stay on for a few minutes and the indicator light remains on, there is an issue with the switch that controls the burner and it will need to be replaced.
The part number listed under your model number for the burner switch is PS11771843. If you would like to place an order for it, you may order it either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
My larger burner (6, 8.5 and 11 in) all do not heat. The cook top hot light is on at all times. Is this one burner or three different parts?
For model number PB980SJ1SS
Hello Philip, thank you for contacting us. Based on our understanding of the issue, it seems to be an issue with the burner switches. The three large burners of your model are the right front burner, the left front burner, and the left rear burner. We would recommend checking the left front surface element switch, part number PS11729102, the left rear surface element switch, part number PS1765836, and the right front surface element switch, part number PS11773823, to solve the problem. Glad to be of help!
GE Range - Radiant, The Triple element, the two larger elements work but the small element doesn't would that be the dial control or the element it self?
For model number JS750DF3WW
Hello Roy, thank you for writing. The Triple Element PS8754838 is as solitary unit for the all the 3 sizes and the Switch PS11771843 is one unit as well. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
