One Spring and both Balance Link Kits were broken. The repair itself was incredible easy, especially after watching the repair videos. Maybe 2 minutes per side. ... Read moreas not coming out all the way. So I had to use a coat hanger to hook the spring. I attached the nylon cord first. Then I pulled the spring taut with the hanger and it was easy to thread the cord around the pulley system. I actually attached it to the door before tensioning the spring to make it easier. Door works great now.

Ordered the parts on your site since I could find a parts schematic that really helped. I had to move the unit out and replace the spring on one side. We replaced both nylon cords since the other was showing a little wear. Received the parts quickly and made the repair the same day.
Disconnected dishwasher from countertop and slid out about 1.5 feet. Removed old link. Installed new link and reconnected to spring. slid dishwasher back under counter. Replaced 2 screws back to countertop. It was really really easy.

My dishwasher door opens and then falls open very hard and the door is heavy now.

Hello Lynette, thank you for your question. If the door is falling open very hard, almost slamming down, you will want to replace the Door Balance Link Kit Part Number 8194001. There is an installation video on our site which will show you how to install these parts. The kit includes two door balance links and two door balance mounts with wheels, which will replace both the left and right sides. Good luck with your repair!

Door flies open like it has a door spring broken, what spring do I need?

Hello David, thank you for the query. According to our research, the door spring does not come separately. You may need to replace the left side door hinge, part number PS16660571, and right side door hinge, part number PS16660570. We hope this helps!

I am installing the two new springs on my kitchen aid dishwasher kudpo1flbl3. The part number is ps117 45531. My question is i have to remove the dishwasher and disconnect the power and water supply. Is there a video or some sort of instruction that will help me do this?
