This part is the replacement upper front felt seal for your dryer. It is made of felt and is approximately 17 inches long and 1 inch wide. The felt seal allows the drum to glide smoothly on the front panel. If your dryer is noisy, will not tumble, or leaves marks on your clothes after the drying cycle, you may need to replace the upper front felt seal. This part is sold individually, so if you do not have any high-temperature adhesive, you will need to order that as well. Be sure to clean all the residue from your previous felt seal before you install the new one. This ensures a secure fit. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Easy Repair
The dryer was making horrible grinding noises and mutilating our clothes that would get stuck in the side(s), we replaced the front and bottom seals, and it works like new. This dryer is getting old, but it works like new!

This part is outrageously over priced for a 16" piece of felt but it did work and fixed the problem.

Cloths are getting pinched between drum and front panel on along top edge of drum....will replacing the felt pieces upper and lower on the drum fix this, if so does the glue that comes with the lower provide enough for both? or other parts. thanks
For model number GLER1042FS0
Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your question. The upper drum glide, part number PS470317, should fix this issue. The upper drum glide is attached to the front panel of your dryer, you can locate it by removing the top portion of your dryer. The drum glide allows the drum to rotate with ease and little sound. The front upper felt glide pad with three nylon glides also includes adhesive, essential for mounting accurately. One tube of adhesive, should be enough, but if you need another, the part number for it is PS474458. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I am buying the upper and lower felt. The lower felt comes with high temp adhesive tube. Is there enough adhesive left over to install the upper felt or do I need to buy another tube?
For model number GLEQ2152ES1

I replaced the motor about 3 months ago from the front and thought i was done .But still not drying so checked my work and saw that the seal on the back was torn is this a problem if so how to fix it .I can't order a new one that i see online .So that do i do now.
For model number AGQ6000ES4
Hello Kevin, Thank you for your inquiry. If the seals/gaskets are leaking, that is one of the reasons it could be not drying. The other causes could be the gas coils, the blower, the sensors, the thermostats, and the limiter. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!
